Design and principle of automatic welding machine

1.Configuration and comparison of equipment welding power supply
As we all know, one of the key factors of weld quality is the configuration of welding power supply. At present, there are four power supply configurations or welding methods inside and outside the perimeter, in order to choose the best, we carried out a comparative analysis.
(1)CO2 gas protection power supply (melting electrode) uses CO2 gas for protection. Advantages: low CO2 gas price, high production efficiency, high welding current density, deep welding pool, high melting efficiency, fast deposition speed, production efficiency is 2 ~ 4 times higher than manual welding, and good rust resistance and crack resistance; Disadvantages: When welding with high current, the welding surface has poor forming and more spatter, and the spatter stuck on the workpiece needs to be removed manually after welding.
(2)MIG gas shielded welding (melting electrode), using argon for protection. Advantages: large welding pool depth, stable welding arc, good weld formation, high production efficiency; Disadvantages: Because the shielding gas uses argon to achieve the welding process, the price of argon is high and the MIG welding power supply is 3 to 4 times more expensive than the CO2/MAG welding power supply.
(3)MAG gas shielded welding power supply (melting electrode). It is protected by a mixture of argon and CO2, of which 80% is argon and 20% is CO2. Advantages: large welding pool depth, high deposition efficiency, small welding splash, can obtain a stable welding process and beautiful weld.
(4) TIG gas protection power supply (non-melting electrode), using argon for protection. Our company usually uses this kind of welding power supply (manual tungsten argon arc welding). Advantages: Because the electrode only heats the workpiece through the current, the workpiece and the welding wire form a melt pool, so there is no splash, and the weld is beautiful; Disadvantages: shallow arc melting pool, low melting rate, low production efficiency. Because the welding process is all argon as protection, the price is high.
Based on the comparison of welding power supply configuration and expert advice, it is determined that CO2/MAG welding power supply configuration is used to manufacture double ring seam automatic welding machine.

2. Composition and working principle of the equipment
(1) Composition of the equipment The equipment is composed of a guide bed, a rotating table, a pneumatic tail top slide mechanism, a rotating mechanism, a workpiece clamping mechanism, an intermediate supporting mechanism, a special machine welding gun pneumatic adjustment mechanism, a welding gun three-dimensional fine-tuning joint mechanism, a welding gun holding mechanism, a pneumatic tail top and a special machine electric control system.
(2) The working principle adopts the rotating end to clamp the workpiece and the other end to tighten the workpiece. The dual-head CO2 welding gun is relatively immobile and matches the CO2/MAG welding power supply to realize the welding of the workpiece ring joint.
(3) The scope of application of the equipment ① suitable for carbon steel and stainless steel valve bodies, flanges and other flat circular seam welding. ② The minimum diameter of the ring seam is 25mm and the maximum diameter is 120mm. ③ The maximum length of the workpiece is 360mm and the maximum diameter of the flange is 260mm. ④ The maximum weight of the workpiece is 45kg, and the maximum rotating diameter of the machine tool is 450mm.
